100 Words - Hansel and Gretel

Once upon a time there was a little boy and girl called Hansel and Gretel. They lived with their mother and father in the deep, dark woods. One day Hansel overheard their mother talking.
“We need to think of something so our children do not starve to death, because we have no food at all for them to eat, or they will die very slowly.”
So Hansel woke up Gretel and grabbed her by the wrist and ran out of the house but when Gretel said:
“Look up! Can you see falling sweets?”
they weren’t sweets, they were falling birds!

  1. Great story, Alyssa. OK, I give in....I want to know why the birds were falling. ;-)

  2. A nice story Alyssa and a good idea to add something new to the Hansel and Gretel story by adding the bit about sweets and falling birds. Clearly you are very good at stories so I bet you could easily come up with a story idea and characters of your own next time. well done.
