The Life Story of Demi White
Demi White was born in Keswick, Cumbria, on June 13th, 1987. She was a well – known famous Snow Boarder, but that’s not all she did; her part – time job was a hair dresser. She wasn’t famous for being a hairdresser; she was only known by a few. She became famous at the age of 15! Sadly, Demi White died at the Winter Olympics attempting ‘The Flipper.’ Her death was televised, so the whole nation saw her tragic death…
Her father, Mark White, who was an engineer, took his daughter, at the age of 10, Snow Boarding for the first time. Her father then realised his daughter had a talent! Her mother, Amy White, was a runner, a famous marathon runner.  She won 10 bronze medals, 4 gold medals and 2 silver medals in her life! Her mother shockingly died of a heart attack and her father is still alive, but has recently been diagnosed with cancer!
Demi became famous in 2002, winning her very first competition which was televised on the BBC; so the whole world saw her win her first competition! She eventually got the paparazzi and crowds and crowds of fans around her home; she was very popular! Demi reached her dream of being popular, famous, talented and gifted. She was so pleased to reach her goal! She became a brilliant Snow Boarder! She was loved by many. But Demi was determined to get better and better at her sport!
When she attempted the life risking ‘Flipper’ and succeeded - which was truly magnificent! – she became even more famous.  She was the first ever person to attempt and succeed ‘The Flipper’. Even today people don’t even try it because it’s too dangerous! Demi was the only person ever to attempt it - she was unique; one of a kind. Many people believe Demi shouldn’t  have attempted ‘The Flipper.’ It is thanks to her amazing father, Mark White, who pushed Demi to attempt it that she became who she was! But Demi was ambitious to improve her Snow Boarding, to become more famous and to live her life to the fullest. Demi was proud of what she had achieved already, but she wanted to achieve even more in life because, as she always said, “You only live once!”
A year passed, four competitions were won; Demi was ready. She was brave. She stepped up, once again, to attempt, ‘The Flipper’! Swiftly, Demi took her first step towards the start line; she placed her Snow Board down and got ready; she then pushed off. She came to her small hill first: she did a 360 turn; she came to her medium sized hill and did a 740 turn! Then there came the big hill. She built up speed. She attempted ‘The Flipper!’ and she did it!! She succeeded ‘The Flipper’ once again, but she messed up her finish. Tragically, she landed on her neck and cracked her head open and sadly she died that very day with a huge amount of blood loss! A world was shocked! A man, named Bill Franks, a wealthy millionaire and huge fan, created a charity for Snow Boarders, who are badly injured and paid for a statue to be made of Demi White, to be remembered! She inspired young Snow Boarders to work hard to become the best! On Demi’s birthday, June 13th, at 1:30pm sharp everyone is silent for 5 minutes. We’ll finish in Demi’s own words: “Snow Boarding is a brilliant talent to have! But you need to work hard to become better, to have an amazing talent. It’s not about winning, it’s about having fun and taking part; live your life to the fullest. Enjoy life like I am.” Demi died March 17th 2014.

    1. I know I did kill her off because if I didn't kill Demi off I couldn't of built up tension in my story and it would of been a bit boring!
