Anna walked
towards the mystery box that was never to be opened, for The Hell World would
be unleashed. Anna was having second thoughts about opening the mystery box, but
when she lifted the lid it was too late. Anna was teleported into a different world; she had to
close the box. A hell world clashed with a good world. Anna was the only person
who could take the evil away from it. She was going to get to the box and close
it. She ran across many obstacles. She leaped over the colossal cliffs of Hell
Rocks. And then she was eaten by a Goblin!

ReplyDeleteHello Jackson,
ReplyDeleteThe link on the 100WC didn't seem to find your 100WC entry but a little detective work brought me to your entry.
Your story is similar in plot to the classic tale of Pandora's Box. Pandora, according to Ancient Greek mythology, opened a box given to her by Zeus when she married Epimetheus but the box had a warning it should never be opened. Curious, Pandora opened the box and released all things bad into the world of humans before she could shut it. When she told Epimetheus, they reopened the box to see if it had been emptied. One thing remained and it too was released. It was Hope. Despite all of the released evil, there was also hope in the human world.
Your story reminded me of the mythological tale and made it very interesting for me to read. It is a classic tale of the battle between good and evil. Anna is Pandora and the mystery box contained evil. Unlike Pandora's box containing hope, Anna is our hope but, unlike Pandora, hope is lost to a Goblin. Well done. :)
Have you taken the opportunity to visit the entries of students from other schools? It is interesting to see how others have approached the prompt. Don’t forget to leave them a comment if you do visit. :)
