Mountain Poem

I am the unknown killer

The one who is strong

As strong as a rock

High as the towering clouds

The wonder of mankind

I am the dictator of the world

My arms are warriors

To any winter Olympian

My body is formidable to anyone

Who comes into my territory?

My head is covered

With lots of ice and snow

I will dictate how high

Only the strongest will have their day.

  1. Matthew, I really like the adjective you used to describe the clouds. That one simple word creates a dramatic image in my mind.
