Mountain Poem

I am the frightful beast,
The one who always succeeds,
The unexplained thoughts in your head,
I order the snow to stampede,

I am the mighty king,
Of wind and rain and snow,
I’ll tear you by degrees,

I will tell you where to go.

  1. I particularly like the third line. For me, it hints at the confusion you might feel in a snow storm, and the doubts and worries about surviving.
