The Olympic Torch

On Thursday 21st of June we went down to Stainburn School to see the Olympic torch. There were cheerleaders dancing on Stainburn field. The man who had the Olympic torch was running around the middle waving at us.

Ellie and Autumn were wearing green coats because they forgot theirs. Autumn was wearing the great Union flag too. The camera man was taking photos and the TV man was interviewing.

All of our school were there Year 3, Year 4, Year 5 and Year 6. It was amazing.

  1. Really pleased you all had the opportunity to see the Olympic Torch. It passed close to us in Devon on 21st May, the governors agreed to authorise absence for anyone who wanted to go to see it.
The uncle of one of our teachers ran a leg of the journey and brought the torch into school a few days later. Staff and children all had a photo taken with the torch and gave a donation to Children's Hospice South West.
