Earlier this year Carina wrote the following. We thought it was too good not to go on our blog.

Why you should donate money to Cancer Research

Have you ever saved someone’s life, or wanted to? Well now you can. 31% of people in the world have a terrible, life changing form of cancer, this shows cancer is a horrific world wide disaster. Around 156,000 people die of cancer in a typical U.K year, for this reason unfortunate families are being torn apart and lives are being destroyed. Cancer is spreading too fast and we need you to help us stop it!

Most agree that cancer is an awful disease. As more people get diagnosed more terrified families’ hearts are being broken. Unlucky people’s lives are being taken over by the shocking illness of cancer; therefore they’re spending their life in hospital. Sally Dynevor, Coronation Street's Sally Webster, said, “I was diagnosed with cancer in 2009, since then I have beaten my cancer away. It is still sad to see people suffering, please help us fight off everyone’s cancer by donating.” With figures rising and thousands of people dying, cancer is becoming a breath taking tragedy, this is a spine chilling nightmare we, and you should, dread having.

However, by you donating only £3 a month, or more, you can help us beat horrifying cases of cancer, with the price so little, we can buy equipment, buy life changing medicine and pay the wages of researchers and people who help make a large difference. As well as this, you can attend Cancer Research events, or visit http://www.cancerresearchuk.org/ to find more ways of raising money.

Some people believe you’ll be a hero and more people will survive because of your help. If we conquer cancer, then you, yes you, could have an amazing feeling, because you will have been someone who would have helped make this dream happen. Imagine, every month you putting a small amount of money into someone’s hands who needs it. A life costs more than money. It’s priceless. In return you’ll also get a book (all about cancer, and our plans for the future), a Cancer Research badge and three updated magazines a year.

Ultimately, remember, 31% of people in the world get a case of cancer. It’s devastating families and lives too! If wanted, join in a charity event or create one yourself.  As well as this, visit the website, www.cancerresearchuk.org to help us tackle cancer…once and for all! Together, we can beat cancer.
