We are afloat
on this endless sea of boredom
Slowly hunger
comes upon us as the days float by
Our target
has been the Galapagos Islands
But I don’t
think we will ever make it
Soon after
not realising it has been a few months
We approach
the Galapagos Islands
Everybody
hooting with joy
The enormous
boat landed on the pale yellow sand
With a little
thud and rumble
We explored
the island without haste
And found
many peculiar new creatures
Such as the
amazing giant tortoise
And land
iguana
I studied the
creatures carefully until my boat docked
I will always
remember the great voyage on the H.M.S Beagle.
this poem is the best i have ever read
